Double success for SSE CONTRACTING at the 2013 RoSPA Awards

 SSE Contracting has been awarded its 8th consecutive RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award and its Electrical and Instrumentation division received the RoSPA Order of Distinction Award having achieved 16 consecutive Gold Awards.

SSE Datacom selected for installation work at the University of Reading

 Brand-Rex partner SSE Datacom has been selected as the sole company contracted to carry out the forthcoming data installation work at the University of Reading. The project, which commenced in autumn 2012, is due for completion in summer 2016 and will maintain continuity of the University's telephony and communications infrastructure.

SSE helps build eco farmhouse in Wales
SSE is helping to build an ‘eco-farmhouse’ in Wales, which has already been hailed as an exemplar of sustainable excellence. Green technologies that have been installed by SSE Contracting and will be used include solar panels, a biomass boiler, thermal storage, rainwater harvester and a battery bank to store surplus electricity.

SSE and Dimplex revolutionise storage heating

SSE has been busy working with Glen Dimplex over the past two years to produce a storage heating solution that turns these preconceptions on their head. Production has now started of heaters that provide full control to users and a unique energy storage solution for the grid.

Solar panels installed on county council building

 The solar panels were installed on the Grange block, at County Hall in Chichester, by the Council’s Carbon Management Team in partnership with SSE Contracting, will also save the council more than 500 tonnes of carbon dioxide over a 20-year period.

New SSE Contracting vehicles are clear for take off

 SSE Contracting’s  Portsmouth team saw the arrival of two new Toyota Hilux trucks this week. The new vehicles are a welcomed addition to the fleet and have been procured to support the National Air Traffic Control maintenance contract.

Energy-saving street lighting moves to North Dorset

 SSE Contracting, Dorset County Council’s street lighting partner, will begin converting almost 3,600 lights in the four towns to switch off overnight between 12am and 5.30am GMT (1am and 6.30am BST). The lights will only switch back on again in the morning if it is still dark.
